Academic Ranking of World Universities - 2011

Hello all,
Here is the World University Ranking for the year 2011. No much change occurred since the American universities are crashing the rest, except for the two prestigious British universities of Oxford and Cambridge as well as University College London as number 20. All the others in the top twenty are American universities. The first French university comes in position 40.
The first Arab university is King Saud University and is positioned as 211.
Of course there is NO SINGLE university in the top 500 neither in the top thousand!
What do you think makes the Algerian university that aloof and what can we do as individuals, whether students or teachers or administrators?

I think the ranking is abt the number of scientific researches in each univ ! no ?

Universities are ranked by several indicators of academic or research performance, including alumni and staff winning Nobel Prizes and Fields Medals, highly cited researchers, papers published in Nature and Science, papers indexed in major citation indices, and the per capita academic performance of an institution.
Those are the criteria brother.
So it's Shanghaian academy who made that ranking.

can you tell me the ranking was based on what ???
and as i can see it is not just the algerian university many other arabic universities!

how they made the statistics
and if the universities were nominated and if algerian university was one of them ??

WE SHOULD KNOW Our STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES

AMBITION /FOCUS ONLY ON NECESSARY THINGS /MAKE RESEARCHES/TRY TO INVENT
WHICH IS SOMETHING IMPOSSIBLE FOR THE STUDENTS WE CAN INVENT NEW TRICKS TO MAKE
OUR TEACHERS SUFFER ALSO NEW WAYS TO ESCAPE AND NOT BE EXCLUDED AND MANY OTHER THINGS WE CAN INVENT NEW FASHIONS
OF CLOTHES MAKEUP HAIR ...ETC
WE DON'T HAVE STONG PERSONALITY
AND MORE THAN THIS WE LEARN JUST TO HAVE A JOB
WE START FROM WRONG PERSPECTIVE
