My purpose from this topic is to make everyone aware that reading is very important in our lives, I know some people who didn't like to read, they find it boring or not interesting, or think that they don’t have enough time to start reading ,so I told them that :

Reading expands your vocabulary.
It improves your spelling.
It helps you understand different ways of life.
It helps you understand different ideas.
It helps you learn to communicate.
It helps us find other people like ourselves.
It can be fun to read new stories and find out what happens.
It expands your imagination.
It helps you know what other people know, so that instead of repeating
their mistakes and experiments, you can expand upon them and go farther
as a community.
It helps you drive from one place to another.
It allows you the freedom to find out what other humans have had to say
over the years.
It helps you know what drugs are in which bottles.
It helps when you have to mute the TV because you can read the subtitles
and still know what is happening.
It helps you go on the internet and interact.

I could go on... for days, probably. But that is a start.

Reading can make one learn not only languages but cultures and rituals
of civilizations by making an individual live the past, present or
future of places he or she has never been to.

It is like a manual to handle a device called life where in there are so
many possible situations and options where in what counts is the
experience. Reading makes an individual benefit out of the worldly
experiences of people and help shape an intellect out of that learning,
help take decisions on occasions where in one has to be in the same
shoes as that of any other individual already been there.

There’s really no excuse to start reading on a regular basis. The
benefits far outweigh the costs, and more knowledge never hurt anybody!!
those are just a few benefits, so change your idea , choose a book right now and read!!

Very true! Reading is the food of the intellect and the raw material for the brain to produce and innovate. Unfortunately, Arabs don’t read and as Malek Ibn nabiyy said: “a nation that reads is a nation that couldn’t be invaded”. If we bounce through some statistics, you’ll see how serious this issue is:

-The amount of books translated into Arabic in a single year –there are 350million Arab native speaker- is equal to what’s translated into Greek –Greek is spoken by less than 10million in the world-!
-What’s translated into Spanish each year is equal to all what’s translated into Arabic from the dawn of Islam
-An average Japanese child reads 15 books per year, an average European child reads 13 book, an average American child reads 10 books per year and average Arab child reds half page per year(thanks to kitab al kiraa)!!!
